Design Philosophy
Our label is inspired by the laws and parameters of nature, which govern the growth and forms of diverse flora and fauna, as well as the landscapes they inhabit. We are captivated by nature's mathematical wonders, such as fractals, the golden spiral, and the Fibonacci series, and these elements influence our design aesthetic.
Impressionism, with its focus on capturing the essence of a moment and the play of light and color, also profoundly influences our design philosophy. We strive to encapsulate the fleeting beauty of nature and human emotions in our creations, much like the Impressionists aimed to capture the ephemeral qualities of their subjects. This core philosophy is woven into our design sensibility, adding depth and a unique perspective to each piece we create.
approach to creation
At Vivek Patel Studio, each garment is approached as a piece of art, meticulously crafted to reflect both the emotional and visual aspects of design. Our creations embody a unique fusion of abstract and modern elements, focusing on maximalism within minimalist embellishment techniques. We emphasize the cohesiveness of artwork, the intricacy of embellishment methods, and the construction and contours that flatter the wearer. Our pre-draped and stitched saree gowns have gained worldwide acclaim for their ease of wear and the freedom they provide, allowing our clients to fully engage in their special occasions.
Creative Head
Vivek Patel, the visionary behind the studio, graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology with the best graduating fashion designer award. With extensive experience in developing Western silhouettes and conceptual artworks for high couture collections, he has honed his skills in blending traditional craftsmanship with innovative design principles. His commitment to eco-conscious practices, developed during an internship with a renowned sustainable fashion designer, further shapes his approach to thoughtful and responsible design.
Creative Process
Vivek's fascination with art and space fuels his creativity. He draws inspiration from Impressionist and Expressionist artists such as Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Vincent Van Gogh, crafting designs that reflect their evocative moods. His work is deeply influenced by the exploration of the human psyche and emotions, fostering a cross-pollination of ideas and collaborative dialogues that enrich his creative process.
